Australia’s prime minister Scott Morrison announced new measures Sunday to combat the spread of the new coronavirus, including a self-isolation requirement for all travelers arriving in the country and a ban on the arrival of cruise ships. #Coronavirus #Covid19 #CoronavirusAustralia

“We’ve moved now to the next phase, which is the targeted action stage,” Morrison said.

He also said Australia would ban “non-essential static gatherings of more than 500 people”.

For most people, the new coronavirus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough.

For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.
