A spokeswoman for the hospital told Storyful that the morgue site had been set up two blocks from Bellevue Hospital by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

There were 45,707 cases of COVID-19 in New York City as of April 1, and 1,374 deaths, according to the city’s health department.
