“We escaped terrorism… and here we met the disease.”

Displaced people who fled extremist attacks in Burkina Faso now fear catching Covid-19, AP reports. On the outskirts of Ouagadougou, 600 internally displaced people shelter in an abandoned school, with up to 30 people living in one room.

Burkina Faso will spend 394b francs to deal with Covid-19 in the country, President Roch Marc Christian Kabore said in a speech on national television.
