Residents of several California communities were forced to evacuate their homes as the El Dorado Fire, sparked by a gender reveal, continued to push into the San Bernardino Mountains on September 14, reports said.

Footage uploaded by the Brea Fire Department in Angelus Oaks shows a plane dropping flame retardant.

ABC7 reported that residents of Mountain Home Village and Seven Oaks were also warned to evacuate as flames started to creep down the ridge of the mountains.

According to Cal Fire, as of the afternoon of September 16, the fire had reached 18,092 acres and was 60 percent contained.
