The annual March for Life in Washington, DC was held virtually this year, and participants were encouraged to stay home and watch the event online due to the coronavirus pandemic and the breach of the U.S. Capitol earlier this month.

The annual event normally draws tens of thousands of participants to the nation’s capital.

This year, however, organizers invited only a small group of pro-life leaders from across the country to participate in-person.

Those participants marched to Capitol Hill and placed red roses on the sidewalk outside the U.S. Supreme Court.

This year marks the 48th year of the event, which coincides with the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.
